Models of mental health in developmental age: Contrasting stigma and promoting resilience

Author(s):

Aldo Diavoletto

Abstract:

In this brief review, the constituent elements of actions to combat stigma and support resilience are described.

The data highlights the importance of knowledge in this sense to allow children to ask for help when they need it, even if prejudice still represents a brake for young people and families.

Building resilience is an element of promoting child mental health, and this action favors the school context and the role of educators.
