Medical professionals often face intense work demands. These demands can impact their work-life balance and influence their overall relationship satisfaction. Understanding this relationship is crucial. It addresses the well-being of medical professionals and fosters healthier relationships. This in turn, enhances their overall professional and personal fulfillment. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between work-life balance and relationship satisfaction among Indian physicians. Heterogeneous cohort of medical professionals was administered the Work-Life Balance Scale and Couples Satisfaction Index. They also completed a demographic datasheet to measure career progression medical specialty and adaptive coping mechanisms. Findings of this study revealed significant association between professional demands and personal relationship outcomes. Disrupted work-life balance results in relationship dissatisfaction. The relationship between these variables is moderated by the career stage, medical specialty and adaptive coping mechanisms of medical professionals.
