This study explores the impact of play therapy on the psychological well-being of children with disabilities in Bihar, India, where access to mental health resources and support for children with disabilities is often limited. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, this research investigates how play therapy interventions affect emotional regulation, social skills, and overall psychological well-being. Results indicate that play therapy can significantly improve children’s ability to manage emotions and interact socially, contributing to a positive psychological environment that fosters resilience. These findings suggest that play therapy could be a viable, culturally adaptable intervention for enhancing mental health in children with disabilities across similar contexts.
