This review explores how different parenting styles influence emotional regulation in adolescents. Drawing on recent empirical studies, it demonstrates that authoritative parenting is most strongly associated with positive emotional outcomes, while authoritarian and permissive styles often correlate with poorer regulation. The paper also highlights the moderating roles of parental stress, mindfulness, and brain development pathways.
